The folk are the intelligent creatures of earth. Most agree that there are three main folks: gnomes, humans, and lizardmen. However, many more creatures are considered people. Giants, Goblyns, Troglyns, intelligent animals, intelligent monsters, and many more are considered people.
The gnomish word that is often translated to ‘folk’ or ‘people’ is “Felyk”.
Gnomes
Gnomes are the main folk of earth. They evolved from Ancient Gnomes and are descended from God Grubs. They are the oldest folk: the first gnomes evolved in the early years of the Age of Beasts.

Humans
Humans are a folk that live among gnomes. They evolved from gigantos and are descended from the first generation of giants and were taught language by the gnomes. The first humans evolved during the Rising Age.

Lizardmen
Lizardmen are a folk that live in the caves. They evolved from ancient beasts and gained intelligence by looking into the eye of Fount (see the Myth of the Lizardmen for more information). The first Lizardmen evolved during the Rising Age

Giants
Giants are huge ape-like creatures born from the blood of the moon. The first giants were born in the Age of Beasts and were called the first generation of giants. They are the ancestor of all primates on earth including humans.
