The name ‘Goblyn’ is a title given to singular creatures that don’t belong to any known species or group. Additionally, many Goblyns have a mysterious or unknown origin. They are categorized by being smaller than an average human. Similar creatures that are bigger than humans are called troglyns.
Goblyns are also a neutral title, so if you are unsure of what title to use for a creature (goblyn or troglyn), it is categorized as a goblyn.
