Scarecrows

Scarecrows are seasonal spirits that only appear during Autumn. They mimic the appearance of artificial scarecrows with the added ability to move. Many have jack-o-lanterns for heads, some have burlap heads, some appear to made of straw and corn, and some appear to be made with skeletons. Scarecrows also vary whether or not they have legs. Some, such as Vladimir, have two legs that they are able to walk on, but some are suspended by a single post that keeps them in one location. Scarecrows also have a close relationship to Halloween, the spooky season, and souls.

Origin

Scarecrows are spirits of Autumn, meaning that they are personifications of the season and of harvest. They are mostly found in corn fields and pumpkin patches guarding the harvest from crows and other creatures.

Relatives

Scarecrows are related three other spirits: Gourdlings, Crowkins, and The Pumpkin King. They share many of the same features and behaviors as each other with small differences such as size or location of origin.
