Humans

Humans are a tall folk that live among gnomes. They are descended from from the first generation of giants and evolved from gigantos during the Rising Age. Unlike gnomes, humans are always trying to progress their society. They gained intelligence during the Obsidian Age when gnomes taught them their way of life.

Appearance

The average human is about 6 feet tall. They are ape-like, hairless, and wear many different types of cloths.

Behavior

One of humans’ core behaviors that was key to their survival in the Rising Age and the Stone Age is endurance running, which means that they could chase prey to exhaustion. Another habit is tool usage. Even though they aren’t the first to use them, their long arms and fingers allowed humans to pioneer tool usage in new ways. They live in houses, camps, cabins, etc (see Homes of Pangea for more information).

Lifespan and Reproduction

The lifespan of a human is around 100 years old. However, this can become longer when in the presence of gnomes or magic. Because of their short lives, they reproduce very frequently. Human babies are small, big headed versions of their adult counterparts.

Language

In the Obsidian Age, gnomes taught humans Gnomish, which would be their predominant language until the Stone Age (some humans developed their own languages during Pangea, such as the Antar Language). During the Split Lands, Humans developed many of their own languages.

Relatives

Humans are related to giants, gigantos, primates, new men, cousins, and half men.
